This trek is
an ideal way to explore the area around Pokhara in short time without missing
out on the amazing views over the surrounding mountains or the experience of
village life. Your trek starts in style with a gentle boat trip across Fewa
Lake to take you to the start point, where a short climb will be rewarded with
stunning views out across the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu,
which will form the backdrop to much of the trek. The trail will take you up to
the World Peace Pagoda, through the forest where you can see the flora and
fauna of Nepal and past a number of villages where you can experience the daily
lives of the local people. It takes you up to an elevation of 2500m on the
summit of Panchase hill, from where you can see a stunning sunrise over the
snowy Himalayan peaks. This trek is also a great extension to any of our tours
of Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan.

Itinerary
Day
1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m)
Our
representative will meet you outside the customs and immigration area at the
airport. He or She will brief you on the immediate arrangements and escort you
to your hotel. The trip leader will hold a short briefing in the hotel
regarding trek arrangements and general orientation to Kathmandu.
Day 2:
Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Today,
we visit the most historical and Spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are
also listed in world heritage sites. We visit Durbar Square, Swayambhunath
(Monkey temple), Bouddhanath, which is one of the largest Stupa in the world
and the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath.
Day 3: Fly
to Pokhara (823m / 30 min)
After
breakfast, we transfer you to airport to board flight for Pokhara. It is 30
minutes very exiting flight. During the flight you will get opportunity to see
many mountains. Upon arrival at Pokhara airport our guide will pick up you and
transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon our guide will take you around
Lakeside and other popular places of Pokhara.
Day 4: Trek to Bumdi (1520m / 10 km / 4-5 hrs)
From
Lake side, we drive about 10 minutes to dam side and cross the small stream which is flowing down from Fewa lake. Few minutes later it start gentle climb through the forest. The first part is more steep then become gentle. It is very nice walk along the Rani ban (Queen's forest). The views of Pokhara valley, Few lake and Annapurna is superb. About 1 and half hrs. walk we arrive in World Peace Stupa. World Peace Pagoda. This Stupa is one of over 80 Peace Pagodas
worldwide built in an attempt to unite people from all over the world and
promote world peace. From here, it offers panoramic views of mountains, Fewa
Lake and the city below. After a chance to wander round this truly peaceful
Stupa, we continue down through the forest on small walking trails, before
climbing back up to join an open jeep trail snaking round the hill. We walk along
this rough road and final climb of today takes us up to Bumdi village. This is
Gurung and Brahman village, where we will spend the night and can learn more
about these cultures and enjoy with beautiful mountain views. Here are several
hotels and home stay. We can make also our own camp.
Day 5: Trek
to Panchase Bhanjyang (2065m / 10.5 km / 5 hrs)
The trail continues through beautiful forest where we can see
mountains regularly peeking out between the trees. Today is a great day for
nature-lovers, as the path winds amongst diverse trees and plants and we can
hear the birds and we may even see monkeys. Emerging from
the trees briefly at Thulunchour, we continue under the cover of the forest
until the path joins a dirt road, from which you can see panoramic views of the
mountains. These include the Annapurna, Lamjung, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre
as well as three peaks over 8000m Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manalsu, in the
distance. Continuing along the jeep trail takes you gently uphill to Panchase
Bhanjyang. This is beautiful place. We have wonderful views of the mountains.
Day 6: Trek
to Bhadaure (1670m / 7.5 km / 4 – 5 hrs)
This morning, we climb the stone steps up to Panchase hill at an elevation of almost 2500m, the highest point of this trek. From here, we will again be rewarded with stunning views over the mountains. After enjoyed with mountains and surroundings views, we steeply descend down to main trail. This afternoon consists of a gentle walk down to our campsite, with regular views of the mountains above and villages below. The campsite is situated just above Bhadaure village where we can experience mixed cultures Gurung and Brahmin. Here are also several hotels and home stay in this village.
Day 7: Trek to Naudanda (1515m / 6.5 km / 2 hrs), drive to Pokhara
Leaving camping ground, we descent down the stone steps to
the Bhadaure market area and continue on to the jeep trail that takes you
across a small stream and through regular villages, where you will get the
chance to interact with locals and children. On reaching Naudanda, we will
rejoin the highway and drive back to Pokhara. We will have late lunch in
Lakeside.
Day 8: Drive
to Chitwan (4 -5 hrs)
From
Pokhara, we drive along the main Pokhara – Kathmandu highway to Mugling. We
drive through many beautiful villages and small towns. From Muglin, we leave
the main highway and turn towards right side then follow another highway to
Chitwan.
Chitwan
National Park is very famous for its wild animals and birds. It was declared
UNESCO Natural Heritage site in 1984. There are around 600 plant species, 56
different mammals, 539 kinds of birds and 49 amphibians and reptiles found in
the Park. The highlights are Asian one horned Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal
Tigers.
Day 9: Tour
around national Park
Boating: We
boat in Narayani River by traditional wooden boat. It will be about 1 hr and
during our boating, we can see many Crocodile, Rhesus Monkeys and many birds.
Elephant
ride: This is also very interesting. The Maute will take us in the forest
and will try to show us wild animals. During our elephant ride, we can see many
wild animals including one horned Rhino, Deer and Monkeys.
Bird
watching: In the late afternoon, you will take in the jungle area to see
the birds. The hotel use professional bird guide for this.
Cultural
Tour: For this you will take around Tharu villages. You can see typical
Tharu village life.
Cultural
show: In the evening the hotel organize cultural program. Specially, the local
people perform their cultural dance.
Day 10: Fly
or drive back to Kathmandu
There
is an airport in Bharatpur from where we can fly back to Kathmandu. It is very
short flight. Or we can drive back to Kathmandu. It is about 5 hrs drive. In
the afternoon we visit the Thame area for shopping and have farewell dinner in
typical Nepali restaurant.
Day 11:
Departure from Nepal
We
will escort you to airport for your international flight.
